Earlier Report Observations

The Jordanian market for fresh, chilled, or frozen turkey meat and edible offal underwent a significant contraction between 2018 and 2023. Market volume fell sharply from 4 152 t in 2018 to a low of 1 286 t in 2022, a decline of 69%. This downward trend reversed in 2023, with the market growing by 18% to reach 1 512 t, though it remained well below its initial size.

This market evolution coincided with a steep and sustained reduction in imports, which dropped from 4 433 t in 2018 to 1 174 t in 2022 before recovering slightly to 1 480 t in 2023. Domestic production remained relatively stable, fluctuating between 223 t and 274 t annually.
