From 2018 to 2024, the Croatian market for vulcanised rubber tubes, pipes and hoses experienced notable fluctuations in volume. After stability at 1 380 t in both 2018 and 2019, market size fell to 1 221 t in 2020, then recovered to 1 408 t in 2021. It dipped slightly to 1 396 t in 2022 before reaching a peak of 1 526 t in 2023 and declining to 1 461 t in 2024. In value terms, the market showed a strong upward trend from 2020 onwards, rising from 11 187 thousand US dollars in 2020 to 16 274 thousand US dollars in 2024.

Domestic production expanded substantially over the period, increasing from 154 t in 2018 to 342 t in 2023, though it eased to 308 t in 2024. Imports, the main supply source, varied between 1 321 t and 1 475 t per year, while exports grew consistently from 165 t to 321 t, reducing the net volume available for domestic consumption.

In 2019, output reached its peak at 2 811 K $ US, but by 2020, it had fallen to 2 410 K $ US, marking a substantial drop of 14.3% from the previous year. Over the period from 2017 to 2020, production increased by 13.4%, which translates to an annualized growth rate of 4.3%. The largest annual increase occurred in 2019, with a rise of 19.9%.

Exports of tubes, pipes, and hoses made from vulcanized rubber from Croatia rose for the third year in a row. In 2020, shipments totaled 282 t, representing a strong year-over-year increase of 19.2%. Between 2017 and 2020, exports surged by 86.8%, which corresponds to an annualized growth rate of 23.1%.

From 2017 to 2020, Serbia, Sweden, and Bosnia and Herzegovina were the key destinations for Croatia's exports of these products in kind. Serbia accounted for 38.0% of exports, Sweden for 18.3%, and Bosnia and Herzegovina for 17.6%. Together, these three countries made up 74.0% of total export flows.
