The market for plastic tubes, pipes, hoses and fittings in Croatia saw substantial growth from 2018 to 2021, with physical volume rising from 28 180 t to 47 398 t. This expansion was followed by a contraction over the next two years, with volume falling to 36 037 t in 2023, before rebounding to 41 895 t in 2024.

The recovery in market volume during 2024 was supported by sustained demand for pipe replacement due to significant water loss in aging public supply networks and new regulatory requirements for cable ducting and pipes. Additionally, the acquisition of local producer Vargon by Wienerberger in 2022 strengthened the presence of a major international player in the Southeast European market.

In 2020, Croatia produced 20 638 tonnes of plastic tubes, pipes, hoses, and their fittings, showing a modest drop of 5.3% compared to the previous year. From 2017 to 2020, production decreased by 5.7%, equating to an annualized decline of 1.9%. The lowest volume was recorded in 2018 at 20 514 tonnes, which also saw the largest decline of 6.3%. The largest increase occurred in 2019 with a 6.2% rise.

After two years of growth, Croatia's exports of plastic tubes, pipes, hoses, and their fittings declined. In 2020, exports totaled 10 909 tonnes, indicating a measured drop of 8.9% year-over-year. Between 2017 and 2020, exports increased by 7.7%, with an average annual growth rate of 2.5%. The peak volume was recorded in 2019 at 11 981 tonnes, which also saw the largest increase of 9.7%.

From 2017 to 2020, the main markets for Croatia's exports of plastic tubes, pipes, hoses, and their fittings in volume terms were Bosnia and Herzegovina (22.5% of exports), Italy (19.9% of exports), and Austria (16.9% of exports).
