Between 2018 and 2021, the synthetic latex rubber market in Poland grew from 21.7 thousand tonnes to 23.4 thousand tonnes. This expansion was primarily driven by consistent demand from the country's automotive and construction sectors, which are key consumers of this material. A temporary setback occurred in 2020 when the COVID-19 pandemic caused widespread supply chain disruptions and manufacturing slowdowns, reducing the market volume to 21.2 thousand tonnes that year.

By 2024, the market volume had fallen significantly to 13.5 thousand tonnes. This sharp decline was influenced by a notable increase in import prices for synthetic latex, raising raw material costs. Furthermore, new regulatory frameworks came into force in 2024, including the Single-Use Plastics (SUP) Directive and the EU's General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR), which imposed additional compliance requirements on producers and importers. Changes to Polish construction law implemented in April 2024 also introduced new technical standards that may have indirectly affected demand for latex-based construction materials.
