The market volume for chemically pure sucrose in solid form in Poland fluctuated between 2018 and 2023, starting at 1.6 million tons, dipping slightly the following year, and then recovering to reach 2.1 million tons by 2023. This final year's growth coincided with increased domestic production, which rose to 2.6 million tons.

Poland solidified its role as a net exporter, with export value reaching $607 million in 2023. By 2024, sugar imports had fallen sharply by 44%, indicating weaker domestic demand. This trend was supported by a record domestic sugar beet harvest in the 2024/2025 season, where production hit approximately 2.46 million tons due to an expansion of cultivation area to 274,000 hectares and favorable weather.

Following two years of decline, Poland's solid sucrose production volume increased. In 2020, production reached 2 295 K t, marking a gradual 6.7% rise compared to the previous year. Over the 2017-2020 period, overall production decreased by 2.5%, with an average annual decline of 0.8%. The lowest production level was recorded in 2019 at 2 152 K t, which represented the largest decline of 8.2% during this timeframe.

In 2020, the output was valued at 1 048 M $ US, representing a significant 29.3% jump compared to the previous year. The highest export volume was recorded in 2018 at 841.5 K t, which also marked the largest increase of 20.0% during this period.
