Production briefly recovered to 100.1 thousand tons in 2021. However, persistent sanctions and import restrictions on agricultural supplies kept the market under stress. In 2022, high inflation and new import curbs raised production costs, while weakened consumer purchasing power contributed to a drop to 99.6 thousand tons. By 2023, continued economic pressures led to a further slight decrease to 99.3 thousand tons.

Over the period from 2017 to 2020, production grew by 5.7%, which translates to an average annual increase of 1.9%. The highest output was recorded in 2018 at 101.5 thousand tons, with the largest year-on-year growth of 9.1% also occurring that year.
