India's roundwood coniferous exports declined for the second consecutive year. In 2020, exports stood at 0.4 K m³, representing a 4.6% decrease compared to 2019. Over the 2017-2020 period, exports fell by 43%, with a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of -17.1%. The highest export volume was recorded in 2018 at 1 K m³, which saw a 6.6% increase from the previous year. The largest decline occurred in 2019, with a drop of 44.0%.

From 2017 to 2020, Qatar and Nepal continued to be the top markets for India's roundwood coniferous exports in volume terms, together accounting for 81.6% of total flows, while other partners played a supplementary role.

After a two-year uptick, India's roundwood coniferous exports in value terms declined. In 2020, exports totaled 0.1 million US dollars, marking a contraction of 57.4% compared to the previous year. Over the 2017-2020 period, exports decreased by 26.2%, with a CAGR of -9.7%. The peak value was recorded in 2019 at 0.1 million US dollars, which saw a 35.7% increase from the year before.
