The market volume for coniferous roundwood in Czechia fluctuated between 2018 and 2023, starting at 16 873 thousand m³ in 2018 and reaching a peak of 17 467 thousand m³ in 2019. After this high, the market contracted to 15 637 thousand m³ in 2020, partially recovered to 16 136 thousand m³ in 2021, then fell sharply to 14 287 thousand m³ in 2022 and 12 381 thousand m³ in 2023.

This movement was influenced by shifts in production and trade. Production rose from 24 213 thousand m³ in 2018 to a high of 32 008 thousand m³ in 2020, but then dropped to 16 600 thousand m³ in 2023. Exports, which absorbed a significant portion of production, increased from 8 681 thousand m³ in 2018 to 17 293 thousand m³ in 2020, then declined to 5 729 thousand m³ in 2023. Imports remained relatively low, ranging between 922 and 1 510 thousand m³ through 2023.
