The following year, the market expanded markedly to 383.1 thousand tons, driven primarily by a resurgence in imports to 328.5 thousand tons. This import growth occurred alongside reported increases in fertilizer prices, which raised production costs for farmers, and within a context of tight EU rapeseed supply, which likely heightened reliance on imported volumes.

For 2024, partial trade data indicates imports of 269.3 thousand tons and exports of 37.2 thousand tons. Domestic harvest reports confirmed higher per-hectare yields compared to 2023, strengthening local production, while continued elevated fertilizer prices maintained pressure on input costs.
