The market volume for quinces in Syria showed considerable volatility between 2018 and 2023. After starting at 2 803 t in 2018, it declined to 2 506 t in 2019 and further to 2 033 t in 2021. This was followed by a sharp recovery of 62% to 3 298 t in 2022, before stabilizing at 3 204 t in 2023.

Production levels fluctuated, peaking at 3 344 t in 2020 before dropping to 2 679 t in 2021 and recovering to around 3 050 t in 2022-2023. Trade flows shifted notably, with exports surging to over 850 t in 2020-2021 then falling sharply to below 40 t in 2022-2023, while imports varied between 3 t and 291 t.
