In 2018, quince production in Morocco reached 59,444 t, supported by the crop's concentration in several regions like Haouz Marrakech and local expertise in grafting and cultivation. The market volume then dropped by a third to 39,590 t in 2019 before recovering to 57,699 t in 2020.

From 2021, production entered a period of decline. Output fell to 54,641 t in 2021, a year when Morocco's narrow capital market with significant sectoral concentration may have constrained investments in the agricultural sector. In 2022, inflation and volatility in international fuel prices increased production and distribution costs, contributing to a further drop to 50,689 t. The decline continued in 2023, with production falling to 43,523 t, a period marked by a major earthquake in September that damaged rural infrastructure and triggered a large reconstruction program, disrupting agricultural activities.

In 2020, Morocco produced 57 700 tonnes of quinces, representing a 45.7% increase compared to the previous year. Over the 2017-2020 period, production grew by 26.1%, with an average annual growth rate of 8.0%. The lowest production level was recorded in 2019 at 39 601 tonnes, while the highest was in 2018 at 59 444 tonnes. The most significant decline occurred in 2019, when production fell by 33.4%.
