From 2021, production entered a new phase of expansion, rising to 462.0 thousand tons and then to 523.7 thousand tons in 2022. The growth was supported by a 14% increase in total cultivated area during the 2022-2023 campaign, which reflected broader agricultural sector optimism and focus on summer crops. By 2023, production reached 542.0 thousand tons, completing a steady upward trend over the six-year span.
