This growth was underpinned by two powerful surges in domestic output, which leapt from 30 784 t in 2018 to 45 822 t in 2019 and then from 46 630 t in 2021 to 64 170 t in 2022.

Following the first major increase, the market stabilized in 2020 at 45 441 t before rising moderately by 4% in 2021. The second growth phase in 2022 was even more pronounced, driving the market size up by 38% to 65 480 t. By 2023, the rapid expansion phase concluded, with volume growth slowing to a near standstill at 65 892 t, indicating a new plateau.

However, production declined slightly in 2020 to 45 324 tonnes, representing a 1.1% decrease from the previous year. Looking at the broader 2017-2020 timeframe, production increased by 26.5%, with an average annual growth rate of 8.2%. The lowest production level was recorded in 2018 at 30 784 tonnes, which saw a significant 14.1% drop from 2017. The most substantial increase occurred in 2019, when production surged by 48.9% compared to 2018.
