Concurrently, industry bodies such as FILPORC and the IFAP implemented measures to promote sector sustainability and support the local value chain.

Throughout the period, evolving EU legislation on animal welfare and product labeling continued to shape market practices, reinforcing the competitive edge of Portuguese companies through quality certifications.
