By 2023, the market expanded further to 1,218.4 t, supported by broader imports from countries such as the Netherlands, Greece, France, Italy, and Ireland, which reduced supply concentration.

In 2024, the market environment was reshaped by new meat labeling and traceability requirements, the introduction of a temporary zero VAT rate on meat, and substantial price increases for beef, all of which altered regulatory and consumer conditions.
