The poultry meat market in Armenia saw considerable volume changes from 2018 to 2023. The operation of the Yerevan compound feed plant from 2018 onward secured the domestic feed base for poultry farming, supporting production. Market volume grew by 19% to 68 388 t in 2019, propelled largely by a surge in imports that coincided with rising duck meat imports in Russia, indicating strengthened regional trade links. A contraction followed in 2020, reducing the market to 58 342 t as imports declined, while Armenia maintained its position in EAES meat by-product exports.

Market volume recovered to 67 655 t in 2021, driven by increased production and imports. Armenia's ongoing involvement in EAES export mechanisms continued to facilitate market access. In the following years, the market stabilized around 66 000 t, dipping slightly to 65 694 t in 2023. By 2024, newly implemented EAES tariff quotas on poultry meat imports began to regulate market access, reflecting evolving trade policies.

In 2020, Armenia imported 33 144 tonnes of poultry meat and offal, a 24.0% decrease from the previous year. From 2017 to 2020, imports declined by 6.2%, with an annualized rate of -2.1%. The lowest volume was recorded in 2018 at 32 876 tonnes, while the peak occurred in 2019 at 43 588 tonnes, representing a 32.6% increase that year.
