Market volume then entered a downward phase, declining in 2022 and contracting sharply in 2023 before a partial recovery in 2024. In contrast, the market's value in million US dollars demonstrated consistent annual growth from 2020 onwards, rising even during years of falling consumption.

This divergence between stable value growth and volatile physical turnover points to significant price increases or a shift in the product mix within the market over the observed period.
