Earlier Report Observations

The market volume for pig offal in Georgia expanded from 4 051 tonnes in 2018 to 5 120 tonnes in 2023. After steady growth to 4 358 tonnes in 2020, the market saw a minor contraction in the following two years before a sharp 20.5% rise in 2023.

This overall increase was supported by a consistent rise in domestic production, which grew from 3 017 tonnes to 4 423 tonnes over the period. At the same time, imports fell from 1 320 tonnes to 781 tonnes, reducing the reliance on foreign supply and contributing to the market's structural shift.
