After a stable start around 23 800 tonnes in 2018, the Australian fresh peas market saw a slight dip to 23 177 tonnes in 2019. The following year, however, market volume jumped by over 16% to reach 27 032 tonnes.

Growth accelerated sharply in 2021, with the market expanding by nearly 32% to a peak of 35 594 tonnes. This upward trend reversed over the next two years, as the market contracted by roughly 12% in 2022 and then by another 18% in 2023, falling to 25 692 tonnes.
