Serbia's pear production volume increased for the third consecutive year. In 2020, the country produced 67 110 tonnes of pears, marking a significant 22.3% rise compared to 2019. Over the 2017-2020 period, production grew by 28.3%, with an annual growth rate of 8.7%.

Serbia's pear production value increased for the second consecutive year. In 2020, pear output was valued at 57 061 thousand US dollars, up 31.2% from 2019. From 2017 to 2020, production value rose by 32.8%, with an annual growth rate of 9.9%. The lowest value was recorded in 2018 at 42 527 thousand US dollars, which represented a 1.0% decline.

Exports pears from Serbia

In 2020, Serbia exported 8 258 tonnes of pears, a 34.0% increase from the previous year. The lowest export volume was in 2019 at 6 162 tonnes, while the highest was in 2018 at 8 671 tonnes. The largest decline occurred in 2019, with a 28.9% drop.
