The launch of a semi-industrial plant project for red and palm kernel oil in Yoto 2, announced in 2023, aimed to modernize local extraction. Improvements in Togo's Doing Business indicators, particularly in property transfer and cross-border trade, facilitated commercial operations. By 2024, the market attracted significant foreign investment, most notably a $65 million commitment from the Indian Kaylan Investment Group for plantations and a processing plant with a planned annual capacity of 24 000 t of oil, signaling strong future potential for the sector.
