Ghana's orange production increased for the second consecutive year. In 2020, the country produced 717.3 K t of oranges, reflecting a modest 2.0% rise from the previous year. The lowest production volume was recorded in 2018 at 694.7 K t, which also saw the largest decline of 1.3%.

Exports oranges from Ghana

Orange exports from Ghana grew for the third consecutive year. In 2020, export volume reached 10 469 t, marking a 3.4% increase year-over-year. From 2017 to 2020, exports surged by 86.9%, equivalent to an annualized growth rate of 23.2%.

From 2017 to 2020, Côte d'Ivoire remained the leading destination for Ghana's orange exports in volume terms, accounting for 77.3% of total flows, while other markets contributed the remainder.
