The following year, the market stabilized at 3.6 thousand tons amid global factors such as the war in Ukraine, which influenced trade flows and prices for oil seeds.

By 2023, the market grew to 3.7 thousand tons, supported by new government regulations aimed at increasing production and exports, along with the expansion of processing for local non-traditional oil seeds like safflower, flax, and sesame, which contributed to the dynamic growth of the domestic market.

Following a two-year decline, Uzbekistan's production of oil seeds and oleaginous fruits rebounded. In 2019, output reached its lowest point at 2,661 tonnes. The largest annual decrease occurred in 2018, with a drop of 40.8%. By 2020, production had risen to 3,710 tonnes, marking a 39.4% increase compared to 2019. Over the entire period from 2017 to 2020, production fell by 30.3%, which translates to an average annual decline of 11.3%.

After two consecutive years of decline, Uzbekistan's production of oil seeds and oleaginous fruits in value terms showed recovery. In 2019, the value hit its minimum at 1,162 thousand US dollars. The most significant annual decrease was recorded in 2018, with a 42.5% drop. By 2020, the output value had climbed to 1,555 thousand US dollars, representing a sharp 33.8% rise from 2019. From 2017 to 2020, the overall value decreased by 34%, averaging an annual decline of 12.9%.
