Market volume in physical terms increased from 145.2 thousand tons in 2018 to 172.5 thousand tons in 2024, with a peak of 194.0 thousand tons in 2019 and a low of 128.6 thousand tons in 2021.

After a sharp 33.6% rise in 2019, the market contracted by 9.8% in 2020 and by another 26.5% in 2021. Recovery began in 2022 with a 26.7% increase to 162.9 thousand tons, followed by stabilization at 161.0 thousand tons in 2023 and a moderate growth to 172.5 thousand tons in 2024.

In value terms, the market followed a similar pattern but with more pronounced swings: the market value grew from 324.7 million USD in 2018 to 491.0 million USD in 2024, with a sharp surge to 566.4 million USD in 2022.
