From 2018 to 2019, the market volume for not in shell eggs and egg yolks in Kazakhstan increased from 483.8 t to 594.4 t. This growth was supported by the formation of the Association of Egg Producers, which unified key enterprises, and the State Program for Agro-Industrial Development (2017-2021). Limited access to export markets, especially China, helped retain more production domestically.

Market volume then declined to 466.0 t in 2020 and 430.9 t in 2021. Government support and industry coordination continued, but the market contracted during this period.

In 2022, market volume stabilized at 421.2 t, with a minor decrease of less than 2%. New biological safety legislation (Law No. 123-VII) came into effect in May 2022, affecting production standards. Consumer spending on eggs rose by 22% in 2022-2023, indicating strong demand. Despite this, market volume fell to 366.6 t in 2023, with major producers like Ramazan Qus reporting significant expansion in their operations.
