Lithuania's non-coniferous roundwood production increased in 2021 after two years of decline. The country produced 2 901 K m³ that year, marking a modest year-over-year rise of 3.8%. However, looking at the broader period from 2018 to 2021, production actually decreased by 11.9%, which translates to an annualized decline rate of 4.1%. The lowest production level was recorded in 2020 at 2 796 K m³, which also saw the largest annual drop of 7.9%.

Exports non coniferous roundwood from Lithuania

Lithuania's exports of non-coniferous roundwood in 2021 amounted to 395.6 K m³, showing a steep decline of 28.0% compared to the previous year. From 2018 to 2021, Latvia, Poland, and Sweden were consistently the main destinations for Lithuania's non-coniferous roundwood exports in volume terms. Throughout 2018-2021, Latvia, Belarus, and Russia were the key partners for Lithuania's non-coniferous roundwood imports in volume terms. Latvia accounted for 58.8% of imports, Belarus for 20.1%, and Russia for 17.5%. Together, these three countries represented 96.5% of total import flows.

The country imported 8 186 K US dollars worth of non-coniferous roundwood, up 69.5% compared to the previous year. The lowest import value was recorded in 2019 at 4 758 K US dollars, which also saw the largest annual decline of 43.9%.
