Growth continued through 2021‑2023, reaching 320 thousand tons, driven by heightened global demand for natural rubber in medical supplies and hygiene products during the pandemic, as well as steady domestic demand from the construction and textile sectors for latex binders. Government policies promoting sustainable extraction and processing practices supported this expansion, although challenges such as outdated machinery may have tempered faster growth.
