After two years of decline, mushroom and truffle production in Switzerland has rebounded. In 2020, Switzerland produced 8 086 tonnes of mushrooms and truffles, marking a 9.8% increase from 2019. Production reached its lowest point in 2019 at 7 361 tonnes, with the largest annual decline occurring in 2018 at 1.7%. Over the period from 2017 to 2020, overall production grew by 7.8%, translating to an average annual growth rate of 2.5%.
