A sharp 23% surge in market volume followed in 2023, lifting it to 33 266 t, before it stabilized again at 32 923 t in 2024.

After two years of growth, exports of moulds and moulding boxes from Russia declined in 2021. Shipments totalled 2 332 tonnes, a notable 22.1% decrease year-on-year. From 2018 to 2021, exports fell by 8.1%, equivalent to an average annual decline of 2.8%. The highest volume was in 2020 at 2 993 tonnes, while the largest annual increase occurred in 2019 at 17.4%.

Between 2018 and 2021, Kazakhstan, Belarus, and Uzbekistan were the main destinations for Russia's moulds and moulding boxes exports in volume terms. Kazakhstan accounted for 22.4% of exports, Belarus for 19.9%, and Uzbekistan for 14.7%, together making up 57.0% of the total.

From 2018 to 2021, exports rose by 17.8%, with an average annual growth rate of 5.6%. The lowest value was in 2019 at 15.0 million US dollars, which also saw the largest annual decline of 3.7%. In contrast, the largest annual increase was in 2020 at 20.4%.

From 2018 to 2021, the geographical distribution of exports in value terms was quite diverse. Finland, Belarus, and Kazakhstan were the top partners, accounting for 16.8%, 16.5%, and 11.1% of exports, respectively, totalling 44.3% of the overall flows. The largest annual increase was in 2020 at 14.1%.
