After a modest rebound to 13 774 tons in 2021, the market resumed its downward trend, falling to 9 301 tons in 2023. During this period, the Cyprus Department of Agriculture issued updated labeling requirements for fresh produce, including citrus, further tightening regulatory oversight and contributing to the market's continued decline.

In 2019, the output was valued at 17 400 thousand US dollars, but in 2020 it decreased to 14 417 thousand US dollars, a drop of 17.2%. From 2017 to 2020, the production value fell by 39.4%, averaging an annual decline of 15.4%.
