This overall decline of approximately 15% was largely due to a sharp 21% drop in 2019, which brought the market down to 682.8 tons.

After the 2019 downturn, the market entered a recovery phase. Volume grew steadily from 2020 onward, increasing by 2.7% in 2020, 5.7% in 2022, and 3.2% in 2023, despite a minor 4.3% decrease in 2021. This upward trend was supported by a rebound in domestic production, which rose from 644 tons in 2021 to 690 tons in 2022.

By 2023, the market volume reached 731.7 tons, indicating a stabilization of demand after the initial contraction. The recovery period from 2020 to 2023 saw a cumulative growth of over 7% from the 2019 low.
