By 2020, expanded cultivation areas for leguminous crops, driven by new farming technologies, supported production growth, although the COVID-19 pandemic impacted logistics and supply chains. Market volume during this period fluctuated around 38-39 thousand tons.

Consumer interest in leguminous vegetables began rising from 2019 due to growing awareness of their nutritional value and a trend toward healthy eating. The market volume then declined before stabilizing around 38.3 thousand tons by 2022.

In 2023, the leguminous vegetables market volume increased to 41.1 thousand tons, largely driven by a sharp rise in imports. Simultaneously, investments in the construction and expansion of greenhouse farms and vegetable storage facilities strengthened the sector's production potential.
