However, in 2023, the market volume declined to 926.5 thousand tons. This drop followed the introduction of Peraturan Badan Pangan Nasional Nomor 1 Tahun 2023 on fresh food labeling, which imposed new traceability requirements that likely increased operational costs and temporarily affected supply chain efficiency.
