This growth was driven by a sustained increase in imports, which grew by over 50% across the period, while domestic production fluctuated between 32 and 36 thousand tons.

In 2023, the market contracted significantly to 48.8 thousand tons in volume and $105 million in value. This decline was led by a drop in domestic production to 25 thousand tons and a simultaneous reduction in import volumes.
