The ASEAN market for household and sanitary paper in wide rolls experienced considerable volatility between 2018 and 2023. Volume started at 1.08 million tons in 2018, dropped sharply the following year, then embarked on a three-year recovery to reach a peak of 1.19 million tons in 2022, before contracting again in 2023.

The most pronounced swing occurred in 2019 when market volume fell by 36% to 695 000 tons.
