This expansion was facilitated by continued public investment in livestock infrastructure. Notably, the inauguration of new government-run livestock markets in Fatick and Kaolack in 2023 under the PROVALE-CV project improved access and logistics, strengthening the entire sector's foundations.

Development efforts continued into 2024 with the opening of the Agnam Goli livestock market, further demonstrating the state's focus on modernizing trading platforms.
