In 2022, the market stabilized at 153.9 thousand tonnes amid ongoing armed conflict and economic adjustments, including the formation of the Presidential Council and a financial package that strengthened the Yemeni rial.

By 2023, the market volume advanced to 158.4 thousand tonnes, capping a period of consistent growth driven primarily by robust local production and steady domestic consumption.

Yemen's grape production has increased for the second consecutive year. In 2020, the country produced 136.6 thousand tons of grapes, marking a 1.8% rise compared to 2019. Over the 2017-2020 period, production grew by 5.3%, with an average annual growth rate of 1.7%. The lowest production level was recorded in 2018 at 122.8 thousand tons, which represented the largest decline of 5.3% during this period. In contrast, 2019 saw the most significant increase at 9.3%.
