The market value demonstrated a clearer upward trend, growing from $19.3 million in 2018 to $27.6 million in 2024, despite annual fluctuations in both volume and value.

A notable divergence occurred in 2020 when the market value surged by 29% to $24.0 million, significantly outpacing the 12% volume growth. This period was followed by sustained higher value levels above $24 million, even as physical consumption varied in subsequent years.

The supply structure remained import-dependent, with annual import volumes between 1,946 t and 2,556 t far exceeding domestic production, which remained below 90 t. Export volumes, ranging from 471 t to 664 t, consistently accounted for a portion of the total supply.

Over the period from 2017 to 2020, production decreased by 10.4%, with a compound annual growth rate of 3.6%. The lowest volume was recorded in 2018 at 49.4 t, when the largest decline of 50.8% occurred. In contrast, the largest increase was in 2019, with a 46.2% rise.

Fungicide exports from Croatia have increased for the second consecutive year. In 2020, exports totaled 664 t, showing a moderate year-on-year growth of 5.1%. From 2017 to 2020, exports rose by 19.7%, corresponding to a compound annual growth rate of 6.2%. The lowest volume was in 2018 at 506 t, when the largest decline of 8.8% was recorded. The largest increase occurred in 2019, with a 24.8% jump.

From 2017 to 2020, the three largest markets for fungicide exports in kind were Germany, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Serbia. Together, they accounted for 65.0% of total export flows during this period.

Cross-border shipments of fungicides from Croatia have increased for the third consecutive year. In 2020, Croatia exported fungicides worth 11 055 K $ US, reflecting an 18.1% rise compared to the previous year. Between 2017 and 2020, exports grew by 46.9%, which equates to an annualized rate of 13.7%.
