In 2020, the country produced 103.8 thousand tons of fresh grapes, which represents a 1.3% decrease compared to the previous year. Looking at the period from 2017 to 2020, overall production grew by 16.1%, with an average annual growth rate of 5.1%. The highest production volume was recorded in 2018 at 127.1 thousand tons. That same year saw the largest increase of 42.2%. However, in 2019, production experienced its most significant decline of 17.3%.

From 2017 to 2020, Germany, the Netherlands, and Bosnia and Herzegovina formed the core of Slovenia's fresh grape export value.
