Concurrently, increased demand from downstream industries like ceramics and industrial granite for higher-quality material stimulated market expansion. The entry of new players into the market further intensified competition and contributed to rising production volumes.

In 2022, production contracted to 2 881 thousand tons, and market volume fell to 2 665 thousand tons. This decline followed changes in government policies affecting support for the mining and processing sector, alongside the introduction of stricter environmental regulations and revised transportation rules. These regulatory shifts increased operational costs and temporarily constrained producer activity.

In the subsequent years, industry focus remained on improving product quality and implementing energy-efficient equipment to reduce costs. However, persistent challenges in transportation logistics and the influence of currency exchange rate fluctuations continued to affect market conditions. Iran's feldspar production grew for the third consecutive year. In 2020, the country produced 3 114 K t of feldspar, marking a 31.4% increase from the previous year. Over the 2017-2020 period, production surged by 132.5%, with a compound annual growth rate of 32.5%.

Exports feldspar from Iran
