From 2017 to 2020, the partner landscape for exports in kind was diverse. The Netherlands accounted for 9.8% of exports in kind, Russia for 3.8%, and the United Kingdom for 2.9%. Over the period from 2017 to 2020, exports increased by 19.1%, with a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 6.0%. The maximum value was recorded in 2019 at 28 401 thousand US dollars, with the largest increase of 24.4% also occurring in that year.

From 2017 to 2020, edible brassicas from Africa were supplied to a broad set of markets. The Netherlands accounted for 23.4% of exports in value terms, the United Kingdom for 14.3%, and Russia for 8.4%. In 2020, imports totalled 11 843 tonnes, equivalent to an uptick of 20.3% relative to the prior year. Over the period from 2017 to 2020, imports increased by 17.8%, with a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 5.6%. The minimum value was recorded in 2018 at 6 914 tonnes, with the largest decline of 31.2% also in 2018. The largest increase was recorded in 2019 at 42.4%.
