In 2019, the duck meat and offal market in Fiji contracted sharply, with total volume falling from over 1 180 tons to just under 480 tons. This drop coincided with a steep decline in imports, which fell from nearly 800 tons to under 40 tons, while domestic production rose by over 10% to 444 tons.

From 2020 to 2023, the market stabilized at an annual volume of around 480 tons. Domestic production continued to grow, reaching 475 tons by 2023 and supplying nearly the entire market, as imports remained minimal at less than 30 tons per year.

Fiji's duck meat and offal production grew for two consecutive years before declining. In 2020, production reached 406.9 t, marking a moderate 8.4% decrease from the previous year. The highest production volume was recorded in 2019 at 444.1 t, while the largest year-on-year increase occurred in 2018 at 13.7%.
