The subsequent recovery to over 99 000 t in 2022-2023 coincided with ongoing digitalization of domestic resources and enhanced public revenue management, measures that contributed to a more stable business environment.

Imports of dried shelled legumes increased from 2 200 t in 2018 to 5 003 t in 2023, supplementing domestic supply. In 2024, import volumes rose sharply to 53 509 t.

Looking at the period from 2017 to 2020, production grew by 4.3%, which translates to an average annual growth rate of 1.4%. The lowest production level was recorded in 2018 at 90 000 tonnes, when output fell by 4.3%. In contrast, 2019 saw the strongest growth, with a 5.2% increase.
