Between 2018 and 2023, the market for dried shelled beans in Georgia experienced considerable volatility, starting at 13 871 t in 2018 before dipping to 12 616 t in 2019 and then jumping to 14 567 t in 2020. This pattern of fluctuations continued with a drop to 12 888 t in 2021, followed by a recovery to 14 629 t in 2022 and a slight rise to 14 924 t in 2023.

Market volume movements were closely tied to import swings, which ranged from a low of 6 723 t in 2019 to a high of 11 887 t in 2022. At the same time, domestic production declined from 5 900 t in 2019 to a trough of 2 900 t in 2022, partially rebounding to 3 700 t in 2023.
