In 2019, production reached its peak at 272.5 thousand tonnes, but by 2020 it had fallen to 261.8 thousand tonnes, marking a 3.9% decrease from the previous year. Over the period from 2017 to 2020, production grew by 5.1%, which translates to an average annual growth rate of 1.7%. The most significant year-on-year increase occurred in 2018, with a rise of 5.9%.

In 2018, exports hit their lowest point at 163 kilograms, but by 2020 they had surged to 782 kilograms, representing a 92.3% increase compared to 2019. The import market in value terms exhibited an unstable trend throughout the period. Imports peaked in 2017 and bottomed out in 2019 at 7,159 US dollars, with the highest value being 8.4 times greater than the lowest.
