After 2020, while production data is unavailable, trade flows show considerable volatility. Imports surged to 30 382 thousand US dollars in 2022 before moderating in 2023, while exports peaked in 2021 and then began a downward trend, falling to 17 593 thousand US dollars in 2024.

The market landscape in 2024 was shaped by new consumer protection legislation effective from July, which introduced stricter rules for online marketplaces and product labeling. Concurrently, the entry of new foreign retail chains increased competition, and the growth of e-commerce channels supported a rebound in imports to 35 585 thousand US dollars. Consumer preferences also shifted towards sustainable and hypoallergenic materials like organic cotton.
