By 2025, import and export volumes continued their upward trajectory, reaching 4 643 t and 2 155 t respectively, sustained by strong consumer preference for cotton's natural, breathable properties.

The market environment was further shaped by broader factors such as rising raw material and logistics costs affecting prices. EU regulations mandating a transition to recyclable materials, which present a challenge for cotton, began to influence industry dynamics towards the end of the period, adding cost pressures.
