Between 2018 and 2021, production of concentrated sweetened milk and cream in Belarus increased from 52 500 tonnes to 63 766 tonnes. This growth was supported by an expanding raw milk base in the country and the adoption of advanced processing technologies like membrane concentration, which enhanced product quality and variety. State policies aimed at food security and the strong presence of large state-owned and private dairy enterprises provided a stable foundation for the sector's expansion.

From 2022, international sanctions and shifts in trade flows began to limit export opportunities, contributing to a production decline to 54 266 tonnes that year. These external constraints directly affected the export-oriented industry, though domestic market stability was maintained through continued government support and investments in production capacity by major players.

In 2023, production recovered to 58 790 tonnes, aided by a record national milk output of 7.8 million tonnes. Producers adapted to the new environment by broadening their assortments, including lactose-free and specialized products, in response to evolving consumer preferences, while ongoing technological upgrades helped sustain the industry's momentum.

In 2020, output was valued at 108.5 million US dollars, showing a modest year-over-year rise of 1.6%. Over the 2017-2020 period, production value grew by 13.4%, with a compound annual growth rate of 4.3%. The lowest value was recorded in 2018 at 93.9 million US dollars, which also saw the largest decline of 1.8%. In contrast, 2019 experienced the biggest increase at 13.6%.
