The chicken meat and offal market in Bosnia and Herzegovina expanded from 66 481 tons in 2018 to 73 657 tons in 2023, marking overall growth despite fluctuations. The market reached a high in 2019, experienced a mild contraction in 2020 and 2021, and then resumed its upward trajectory in the final two years.

Domestic production was a primary driver, increasing from 61 926 tons to 70 620 tons over the period. After a temporary dip, output rebounded strongly from 2022 onward, indicating enhanced sector capacity that consistently supplied the growing market.

Trade dynamics evolved with both imports and exports rising steadily. While exports more than doubled, the concurrent growth in imports, from 8 600 tons to 11 569 tons, helped meet sustained domestic demand alongside the expanding local production.
