New production investments and market entrants introduced innovative technologies, while global supply chain disruptions and higher raw material costs impacted production expenses and final prices.

However, looking at the broader period from 2017 to 2020, production actually decreased by 2.3%, which translates to an average annual decline of 0.8%. The lowest value was recorded in 2019 at 319.5 million US dollars, while the peak occurred in 2018 with 364.5 million US dollars. The most significant drop was observed in 2019, falling by 12.3%, whereas the largest gain happened in 2018, rising by 7.9%.

Poland's exports of central heating boilers in terms of volume declined for the second year in a row. In 2020, the country exported 17 286 tonnes, down by 10.0% compared to the previous year. Over the 2017-2020 period, exports decreased by 13.5%, with a compound annual growth rate of -4.7%. The highest volume was recorded in 2018 at 21 477 tonnes. The sharpest decline occurred in 2019, dropping by 10.6%, while the largest increase was in 2018, up by 7.4%.

From 2017 to 2020, Poland supplied central heating boilers to a diverse range of markets. Italy accounted for 30.0% of exports by volume, Austria for 9.7%, and Ukraine for 9.5%, together making up 49.2% of total exports. The remaining 50.8% was distributed among numerous smaller destinations.

The value of central heating boilers exported from Poland fell for the second consecutive year. In 2020, exports amounted to 208.7 million US dollars, showing a modest decline of 7.9% year-over-year. The peak value was recorded in 2018 at 244.6 million US dollars, with the largest increase that year at 18.8%.

The most significant decline was in 2019, down by 11.4%, while the largest increase occurred in 2018, rising by 33.8%.
